Addressing Accusations Against Me...
| Philip Danks
To all my customers and social media followers:
It has recently come to my attention that accusations have been made against me which could have a severe, and potentially dangerous impact on myself, my business and more importantly, my family. I guess this all stems from mistakes I've made in the past few months with how my businesses were managed, and how I was managing customer devices.
For full transparency, I did make a pretty big mistake a few months ago and I accidentally misplaced some devices which belonged to customers. These were devices which I had received for repair and in some cases, successfully repaired and were due to go back to customers. I have no explanation for how these mistakes happen, but they did.
How I plan/planned to rectify this once I was made aware was to first of all make changes behind the scenes on how devices are handled, but more importantly, to replace said devices at my cost to ensure no one is left out of pocket financially. No one should be affected by my mistakes.
The simple fact is, I'm a human being. We all make mistakes and anyone who claims otherwise is a liar. It's as simple as that. I'm one person, and on my own I have three children, one of whom is Autistic, I have a partner, I run a repair business, I run an online store and I run a large(ish) YouTube and Twitch channel. That's a lot for one person to handle.
This is the life I chose, and I'm in an incredibly fortunate position to be able to do what I love and get paid for it. I'm not complaining about working 16-20 hours every day, and I'm not blaming anyone else for my mistakes. But that's all they are... Mistakes!
I want to make it incredibly clear that I planned to, and still plan to make things right with anyone who is affected by these mistakes. I am not a thief, and I never will be! My customers and my followers mean the world to me and I would never intentionally steal from anyone. I work hard for my money, and I'd hate for that to happen to me.
These accusations are coming mainly from YouTube comments (on other people's channels), but one person who has since deleted their comment claims there was a post on r/scams about me. This is a post which I cannot find on Reddit at all.
The point of this post is to make it known that I have not stolen from anyone. I have shipped out over 1000 packages in 2023 alone. I've successfully repaired, or I've attempted to repair thousands of devices. Some of course are unfixable, but that's not the point. The point is while I did make a few mistakes, I do return devices and I don't intend to steal from anyone.
If anyone at all has lost contact with me, please get in touch. My business phone number is public and always has been. There's a WhatsApp number also listed publicly. There's also email and chat, and Discord. There are plenty of ways to reach out.
